What data do we collect?

When you submit personal information to Instantiations, you understand and agree that this information may be transferred across national boundaries and may be stored and processed in any of the states, provinces, or countries where Instantiations or its trusted vendors maintain offices. Instantiations collects the following data if available and applicable:

We do not collect any characteristics of protected classifications including age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or physical and mental abilities or disabilities.

Instantiations does not collect data related to our clients’ customers either. Accordingly, we request that you refrain from providing us with any personal information (other than contact information for your personnel or authorized users of our software and services) or non-essential confidential information, as we do not need access to those kinds of sensitive information in order to provide you with our products and services.

How do we collect data?

You directly provide Instantiations with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

Purchase licenses for our products
Purchase and use our services
Request an evaluation/trial of the VAST Platform or related software
Voluntarily complete a customer survey
Signup to attend and/or attend a live event (webinar)
Use or view our website (via your web browser’s cookies)
Communicate information through email or a telephone/voice call

How do we use data?

Instantiations collects your information so you can participate in requested activities, like buying software, getting support, or evaluating the VAST Platform. Please note that if you do not provide the information needed for an activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.

Instantiations collects your data so we can:

Process your purchases/payments and manage your account. For example, data is used to register your product license and your rights to technical support (if applicable), product upgrades, or other benefits that may be made available to registered users.
Inform you about products, services, events, and surveys we think you would be interested in.
Communicate with you and your personnel regarding your use of products and services purchased from Instantiations.
Provide you with technical support and/or consulting services that you request.

Do we sell your data?

We do not sell your data as part of our ordinary business operations, and we will not use your name in marketing statements without your permission. Although we do not sell your data as part of our ordinary business operations, we may disclose and transfer your data to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Instantiations’s assets, in which such data is among the assets being transferred.

How do we store data?

The collection, transferring, storage, and processing of your information is undertaken by trusted vendors used by Instantiations, and stored securely in the cloud. Your personal information resides on these secure servers that only select Instantiations personnel and these trusted vendors have access to.

How is data used for marketing?

Instantiations would like to send you information about products, services, events, and surveys we think you would be interested in. We use your data to tailor our communications for you, so they are more relevant to your needs and interests.
