Deleting components
This chapter describes how to delete a component. Deleting a component unloads it from your image and updates the library so the component is no longer part of its enclosing component. For example, if you delete a method from a class, the system removes the method from your image and updates the class in the library so the method is no longer part of the class.
Deleting does not erase the component; it still exists in the library. For example, you can retrieve a deleted method by selecting Available from the Methods menu. Similarly, you can retrieve a deleted class using Available and a deleted application using Available > Application. Then, select the component that you want to retrieve.
The types of components that you can delete include editions and versions of the following:
• Classes
• Methods
• Applications
• Subapplications
• Application prerequisites
• Required maps
