Configuration maps
A
configuration map is a named group of applications. These applications usually represent a product or one of its major parts.

Configuration maps serve three main purposes:
• During development, they enable you to load an entire system. This means you can easily synchronize your components with the released components made by other team members.
• Also during development, they enable you to create periodic baselines. Each baseline provides a snapshot of components existing in the system at a specific time.
• After development is finished, they enable you to construct a final baseline containing the software shipped as the product release. This means you can reconstruct exactly what was released and diagnose any problems discovered later.
