Event-to-script connections
A common use for scripts is with event-to-script connections. These connections link an event to a script, so that the script is called when the event occurs. Event-to-script connections are one of seven connection types provided by VA Smalltalk. You will normally use event-to-script connections when you want to do some processing that cannot be done using visual connections.
In this section, we will create an event-to-script connection. We'll use the openFile script from the last section to read a file and display its text when a push button is clicked.
