If you are new to Smalltalk, or want to know what VAST Platform (VA Smalltalk) can do,
Getting Started will show you a short development cycle using a simple example. Through it you will learn the basic tools and concepts available to support solo and team development.
Getting Started relies on your having installed VAST Platform. But even before you
download, you can flip through a PowerPoint to get an idea of visual programming and coding techniques possible in VAST Platform.
If you have
downloaded VAST Platform and want assistance installing it or in establishing a development environment in which to work, consult the
Installation Guide.
If you have an application written in VisualAge for Smalltalk or an earlier version of VAST Platform (VA Smalltalk) and are looking to upgrade, the Migration Guide will direct you down the path and make you aware of specific changes to VAST Platform (VA Smalltalk) over its history which may apply to your application.
